Posted: Monday, May 6th 2013Wow, has another year come and gone so fast?! It seems like only yesterday that we were putting together our 2012 party.
It’s been a tradition for us to welcome summer with this event each year at my home in the Tarzana hills (4145 Nogales Dr, 91356). As usual, we will have barbeque fare: hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken. We’ll also serve a vegetable salad, and a pasta salad. And, we’ll have soft drinks and bottles of water. Because of insurance limitations there will again be no alcohol served or be allowed to be brought on to the premises.
Our entertainment for the night will be the local favorite, The Donald Dean Band. This trio has been entertaining at clubs, singles organizations and private parties for years. Check them out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9UXA0v8nU8 The last time I saw them was when they appeared at the Social Circle Dance, Sweethearts Ball, at Stephen Wise Temple on February 16. Almost 200 people came out to see them then..
The party, on Sunday, May 26, will start at 6:00 PM sharp, with food being served until 7:30 PM. The holiday will be celebrated on Monday so we have all evening to enjoy ourselves. Last year we had about 125 people. As usual we will promote this event to more than 15 Meetup groups, singles organizations, dating coaches and matchmakers. More than 30,000 people will see our invitation. We had 100 people at our April 21 party and they came from all over southern California.
So, be sure and reserve early to hold your spot. No more than 200 can be accepted. Prepayment of $20 can be made at the PayPal buttons below, going to http://lasinglessociety.com/admin/articles/preview.php?article=1091, sending a check to Harkitt Corporation (parent company of LA Singles Society), 4145 Nogales Dr., Tarzana, CA 91356, or calling me, Fred Gansky, at 818-342-3311 with your credit card information. Prepayment can be made until 3:00 PM the day of the event. After that time the price will be $25 by phone or at the door if space permits.
There is ample street parking on Nogales Dr., but come early to get a close-in spot.
My home can be easily reached from the Ventura Fry. Exit Reseda and go south toward the hills. Make a right at the third stop sign after Ventura Blvd, Rosita. Then make a left at the second stop sign, Nogales, and proceed one mile up the hill. The home is on the right side at the top of the hill.
