It's my belief that, despite our individual differences, there is much that unites us in our unique singles community. Whether we ultimately find a mate to share our life with, don't we all seek to make our lives more joyful, fulfilling and emotionally satisfying?
Some of us may feel that we are doing just fine; that life couldn't be better. Most others know that our lives could be more rewarding. Like a continuum, singles approach their own life's happiness in varying degrees and styles. Some embrace the latest fad or trend like speed and Internet dating, or lunch and dinner dating groups. Others would rather go on trips, take in lectures, play a sport, see a play, go to a house party, work for a charity, or read a book. Whether one is seeking opportunities to find a romantic partner or just simply looking for pleasurable experiences, there are endless opportunities, if one has the time and knows where to look. And, that is the dilemma, because it takes effort and knowledge to find what we are looking for.†
We understand the needs, desires and longings of this special group of individuals. Our Singles Society, composed of people over 40, has experienced more life and work experiences than younger groups; and will continue to face ongoing challenges. Many have dealt with relationship and marital issues, divorce, family and personal difficulties, and health challenges that only this age group can relate to. Despite these issues, most of our society members are inclined to put out great amounts of effort to find happiness in the form they seek. Because we are dedicated to helping them in their quest, we see our mission as the following: To help singles find romance, enlightenment and fellowship.
Twice†a month our newsletter will be sent to you via the Internet. There will be timely articles, columns, and news that will be pertinent to the needs of singles in our Los Angeles County community. We will try and make our newsletter and website interactive, so we will want to hear from you about what you like or dislike, as well as the subjects and issues you'd like to discuss and know more about. We will also create opportunities for you to communicate with each other through blogs. Further, we will feature a calendar of events for the next month. Currently, you need to look in multiple Internet sites, newspapers and magazines to find events that you might be interested in. We will save you much time and effort by compiling as many as possible for you to review all in one place.
Additionally, we will act as your advocate and advisor by reviewing parties, events, outings, single dating sites, matchmakers, speed dating programs, singles travel programs, etc. We will tell you what we like and what we don't like, and we will back up our comments with specific points. We will always work to earn and keep your trust and confidence.
